Facebook Advertising

I’ve recently joined the Facebook Advertising ranks and I gotta say–it’s simple, stupid and much easier to target your audience than most advertising platforms out there.

For small businesses it’s not all about posting cutesy pictures on your Facebook business page. When you advertise you should think about your audience. What do they want? What is their “pain”? How can you solve that pain?

If you don’t have a page for your business–get one. First launching your Facebook page provides you with a means to reach out to your customers–believe me–they are on Facebook.

If you’re just getting started with your new page–launch a Facebook Advertising campaign–or if you need help contact me–I can help get you started.

If your page has had little action, you will want something that is going to catch the interest of those on the Internet.  Once you get the attention of others online, you are going to build your audience base.

Creating great content is as important on Facebook as it is on your website; but here is a Caveat!

Don’t sell, sell, sell on your wall–it’s a big no, no.

Doesn’t mean you can’t talk about your company, services, etc–just don’t do it every day.

Ask leading questions.

People like to know that the company they are dealing with is knowledgeable about the area they are doing business in.  No one wants to deal with someone who doesn’t have knowledge about what they are trying to sell or offer.  Thanks to all of the changes in social media, you can unleash Facebook advertising in a way like never thought possible.

Using Facebook ads, you can target your ideal customers and help to save you a lot of time and money on those who are never going to purchase from you to begin with.  Since the ads are inexpensive, you will be able to keep more of your money in your pocket and still have an effective means of advertising working for you.  When you do advertise–shoot for at least a 1% CTR (click thru rate).

If you are able to place the correct ads, you will be able to drive sales and leads to your business in no time at all.  Take the time to let Facebook work for you by integrating quality content and ads that are going to draw people in to see what you have to offer them.  You will be amazed at the results a social media platform can bring.
