Small Businesses Fighting Lyme Disease

small businesses beating lymes expoCape Fear Family Fun Day is a group that sponsors expos. Not just expos but community changing expos. On October 20th they teamed up with Paul Ford of Paul Ford Catering to raise awareness of Lyme disease. At the First Baptist Church Activity Center the two forces joined for the Small Businesses Fighting Lyme’s Expo. A high attendance in small businesses and community folk paved the way for an energetic and interactive day. With everything from Karate and MMA demonstrations and interactions all the way to Zumba dances that got all the children moving.

It was stuffed in the middle with Lyme disease survivors sharing their incredible story and protection tips and advice. With provided chaperones for the bounce house, balloon animals, face painting, popcorn, and cakewalk the fun for the kids never stopped, but the adults were free to take in the info and the event. It really was great to see a community come together. The businesses meeting their community, the town folk stopping to take the time to get to know them, and all for a great cause – it was wonderful. Thank you to all who made it possible. With all the businesses helping where they could and a great turnout a good time was had by all.
